The MaxPro 1000 De-Ion-Ice-RTM is an inline water filter that produces “clearer” ice cubes for refrigerators with internal ice makers. This new filter reduces dissolved minerals in the water that supplies the ice maker. While not specifically designed for “water-through-the-door” refrigerators, it can be installed on one with some minor modifications.The reason we say “clearer” rather than clear is that traditional refrigerator ice makers still trap air in the center of the ice cubes. Any lack of clarity when using the MaxPro De-Ion-Ice-RTM is because of this trapped air, and a trivial amount of minerals.

How long the MaxPro 1000 De-Ion-Ice-RTM will last before needing to be replaced is a function of ice usage and amount of dissolved minerals in the customer location. A great signal as to when a cartridge change is necessary is when cloudiness returns to the cubes. Length of filter is 10” and width is 2.5”. Mounting clip is included.
